We Are What We Eat Externally and Internally

I purchased this beautiful piece of art from Tarje today!  If you look closely it's a picture of a little girl holding the bible.  She has a piece of paper in her hand that reads "You are what you eat".  She also has a small piece of that paper in her mouth.  I love it!  It speaks a million things.  We are what we eat, not only from an external point of view, but also from a spiritual point of view.  I'm working on eating healthier and exercising ( I need some motivation here) to build the external, however I also work on building the internal.  The bible, positive words, and inspirational words are all good spiritual food to feast on throughout the week.  Our world is filled with so many negatives daily, including negative people, negative energy and negative things.  This week 3 main phrases have been resignating within my being.  1.  Energy and Persistence altereth all things. (Benjamin Franklin).  2.  Faith Without works is dead. (James 2:20).  3.  Faith, prayer and the word changes all things (Barbara of barbaranaturallyspeaking).  This is what I quote when I'm trying to stay encouraged, face challenges head on, and reach new goals.  Be encouraged!

From an internal and external point of view "What are you eating today?"

P.S. When my son saw this canvas, he asked if it was my daughter?"  I had to tell him the truth, that those were not his sister's "puffs", however they do look similar (smile).

  1. Very nice blog post. Thank you for sharing encouraging words. Today I'm starting a juice fast for about three days. Was following vegan diet but over the Thanksgiving holiday, had a few bites of turkey and feel yucky. Really disappointed in myself, I usually don't cave in like that. Time to up the green smoothies and green juices :-)

  2. Thanks Tam! And glad the encouraging words are useful. Don't be disappointed in yourself, we all can stand to try something different even if it's for a brief moment. I actually ate a few pieces of chicken crunch ( the batter) and I'm sure a nabbed a piece of chicken in the process. Now back to juices and berries :).
