Side Swept Bun with Braids- Summer Natural Hairstyles

It's been hot in the "Chi", extremely hot over the past few weeks.  Just how hot you might ask?  Well let's just say that the temperature gage in my SUV read 106 degrees on last week.  I created this style because it was too hot to wear my hair out.  I call it my homemade side bun (LOL)!  My braidout had lost structure, so it took me 10 minutes to create this style.

First I misted my hair with my water, conditioner, and oil mix.  Next, I parted my hair and braided 4 braids from right to left.  I stopped braiding about a quarter of the way down the length of each strand so that I would have my hair loose at the ends to create a bun.  I then grabbed remaining hair and secured it over to the left side using an elastic for thick hair.  I twisted the hair in the bun into about 3 large twists and then pinned each twist in a downward direction to create this bun.  I added shades and wallah-  a style that kept my hair off of my neck and free from swelling due to heat and humidity.  Here's a look at the side view of this style.

Have you created any side swept styles this summer?
