Braidouts Are A Staple Style For Me In The Fall/ Winter Months

Today I'm still sporting a braidout that I first did on last Saturday night.  I co-washed my hair, did my regular routine, formed 8 plaits, and added rollers to the ends.  On Sunday when I unraveled my 8 plaits my hair looked really shrunken.
I replaited on Sunday night to stretch my hair  a little, then pineappled until Wednesday ( pineappling is just pulling my hair up atop my head at night to keep the curls from getting scrunched).  On Sunday  I basically sprayed with a water mixture,  added  some olive oil and shea butter, replaited, and added rollers to the ends of my hair.  I'm going to pineapple my hair up again tonight.  I love braidouts because I love the fulness, thickness, and volume of a braidout.  I also wear this style frequently during the fall/winter months because I don't generally do wash and go's and go outside in really  cold weather to allow my hair to dry.  Therefore I wear a lot of braidouts when it's cooler.  Braidouts also give me a chance to allow my hair to dry overnight before going outside.  Wash and go's in the morning may work for some in the fall/winter, but I have a feeling that if I go out with a wet head I will be the one who gets pneumonia.  Now there are some naturals that do wash and go's and let their hair dry regardless of temperature, and never get sick.  So For now, for me, during the cooler months I'm sticking to my braidouts, unless I change my mind of course.
