Natural Hair styles for Little Girls
I've been trying to find hair styles for my daughter's hair that are healthy for her tresses and requires minimal daily maintenance. Sometimes I just start working with my daughter's hair and a style just results from the need to get a style that will last. It took me an hour and 30 minutes to create this natural style on my little girls hair. I washed her hair with Trader Joe's tea tree tingle shampoo. I conditioned her hair, left in a little conditioner, and finger combed a little gel through her hair. Once done I squeezed the water out so that she wouldn't have water dripping everywhere. I spent a few minutes trying to figure out how to style her hair so that I wouldn't have to redo her hair daily. I wanted something that I could basically just be responsible for adding a touch of oil to. After pondering the style, I decided to braid two braids along her hairline on each side of her part. Then I decided to part her hair in slanted parts going to the back. I added a little shea butter and coconut oil to each section, and then flat twisted each section to the back. I continued twisting the hair to the ends until I had completed her entire head with twists. When done, I gathered her twists upward and secured them loosely with an elastic. Walluh! I created a style that can last for a week.
I consider this a cute natural hair style for little girls. Do you have a particular style that you use on your daughter's hair that require minimal maintenance during the week? ( I'm definitely going to be trying some more protective styles on her hair soon).
