I haven't had my hair flat ironed and trimmed since February 2011, however I'm starting to want to see the length. I stretched some pieces today and realized that even though I had it cut in February, some strands are back to bsl (bra strap length) when the curls are stretched out. I've also started a new regimen, after a slight mishap. I'll share it soon via blogpost and/ or YouTube video. Lately I've actually started trying actual products and I'm having some fun with that. I'll fill you in within the next few weeks. The puffs that you see in the picture was me just having some fun before co-washing my hair and doing a braidout for the night. Alright, let me get to co-washing. In the meantime, I'm having fun appreciating the growth of my double puffs. I call them double puff-tastic!

Can you form your hair into two puffs? How long did it take you to place your hair in puffs after cutting your hair or the BC (Big Chop)?
Hey if you're viewing my posts via facebook fanpage, be sure to "follow" via my blog at www.barbaranaturallyspeaking.blogspot.com and check out additional natural hair chatter, pics, and vids. See you there!
I big chopped after , I grew my hair out for an entire year. I am now 17 months post relaxer and my hair easily goes into two puffs , and even one.
ReplyDelete! I have to do my hair immediately after getting out of the shower to prevent a ton of shrinkage though!
Congrats on your stat as you've made it to month 17 post BC. , and you're able to form double puffs. Yay! I know exactly what you mean when you say that you have to style your hair immediately after showering to prevent shrinking. I'm so grateful for braid outs, and the flexibility of wearing a bun and letting it dry and form curls on its own.
