I was a demo model at "Ms. Roberts' Beauty Academy" when one of the graduates introduced me to "As I Am" by Avalon. She used the product on my hair and I have been hooked ever since. I used the shampoo and the conditioner. I combed it out with the conditioner in it. After washing it out, I used the leave in because it is supposed to help to define the curl better. Then I divided my hair into sections and sprayed it with water until it was saturated. I applied the curling jelly (liberally) to each section. I took small pieces at a time (at random) and twirled them with my finger in a spiral motion. When you let go, the curl bounces back up in a spiral pattern. I tried to get it as close to the root as possible. In the very back where the hair is the shortest and in the front where I want my hair to lay just right, I use small metal clips to hold it in place. I let it air dry over night. It will last for a few days. If you wake up one morning and the curls have flattened, just spray with water and "As I Am" moisturizer as needed and scrunch it with your hand. It will bounce right back up.
Have you ever worn you hair in finger coils?
