Mousse on Natural Hair on Day 2 and 3

Moussed hair day 2 front view
My moussed hair held up for 3 days before I decided to refresh my curls with a mist of spray and a braidout to enhance my curl pattern.  The pic above is my moussed hair after pineappling overnight.  My moussed curls became bigger and bigger.  I loved it because even though my hair looks thick each curl had it's own individual curl memory.  The pic below was how the back of my hair looked after the wind went through it.  It was cool the way the wind blew each individual strand and of course it got bigger and bigger.

I loved the wind-blown look.  My 3rd day after applying mousse to wet hair, resulted in a pony puff.  My hair was losing some definition and I decided to spray it with water and then added some coconut oil, shea butter, and some eco styler gel to my edges.  I tied it down for about 10 minutes with a satin scarf and rocked my wavy puff for the day 3.

The moussed results looked similar to a gelled wash and go, it just felt lighter.  Either way, 3 days of curls definition was my average curl time for a wash and go.

It's funny when I think of mousse I think of the term my sister and siblings called each other when getting on each others nerves as kids.  We may be the only kids that used the word moose to call each other a not so good name.  I can hear my sister and my niece getting upset with me or vice versa and someone saying "You moose", however in this instance moose has a more positive connotation.  "I mousse".  I use it on my hair to create and hold my curls!

Do you mousse?
