A New Twist- A Twisted Bun
What's up curlies? I have to apologize for being off the map the past week or so. Life's responsibilities have been so hectic that I haven't had many free moments to update my blog. Let's just say work, meals, homework assistance for the kiddos, and being a wife had me darn tired and going to bed early. That's the time that I typically blog, however I just needed to catch up on some z's.
Anyways, last week I was really feeling blah about my hair. I was at a point where I just needed something different that I don't have to fuss with in the morning at all for a while. So last Tuesday, I went and got it twisted to the back into a neat little bun. I love the fact that all I have to do is tie a scarf on it and get up in the morning without even having to finger comb anything. I just needed something different and I needed a break from styling. My hair is typically out and about so that I can touch it, tousle it and style it if I want most days, however this is one of those styles that I can't do anything to, and I don't want to.
I've been dressing this style up with collared shirts, slacks and heels for my business attire. It works well with jeans as well as I rocked some jeans over the weekend. Here's the back view of my twisted bun.
Yep, I guarantee you that I'm enjoying the convenience of a new style that stays put. Oh yeah, it's a new twist in full effect!
Have you tried any new styles that involve twists or buns? Do tell.
that is very pretty - does it have a name? did an African stylist do it? how much did it cost?

Thanks Nylse! I just call it a twisted bun. It's a popular style that I see frequently worn in Chicago. Actually a young lady that my friend knows did this style for me. I've seen it done in African Braid shops as well, however I never asked the price. I'm not sure where you live, but I would say go online or call around to african braid shops and see if they have pics of this style. Heck, take this one with you and maybe they can replicate it where you are.
