Installing Towel Racks Was Slightly Unnatural

Hey curlies, I thought I'd share how I spent my weekend.  The hubby was out of town and I decided to tackle installing new towel bars to replace the ones that have fell apart over the years.  I went to Menards after my mother recommended the easiest types of towel racks to install, which are the ones that have regular phillips screw holes that go directly into the wall.  I get frustrated when trying to install brackets, as my motto is "work smarter not harder".  So when I got to Menards the salesman was really nice, as he led me to the towel racks.  I even asked about anchors ( just in case I couldn't find a beam- as I haven't seen my stud finder to locate beams in about well 4 years).  I also purchased an inexpensive drill and a set of drill bits.  I wanted something simple, because my hubbies cordless kit is great, but he somehow missplaces the charger and that's a hassle to find.  I decided that I needed my own tools that I can keep up with.  This drill was $14.98 with a $5.00 rebate.  This was a awesome bargain!  It worked great, and when I needed a longer cord I just added an extension cord.  I thought that it was great for my first drill.

Towel Racks Installed
Yay me!  Racks installed and my hubby congratulated me with a project well done and a large smile when he saw this project completed.  Quiet as kept, I watched my mom install drywall, fix toilets, and she helped me put my kitchen table and bench set together in 3 hours flat in her younger years.  Where there's a will, there's a way.  Here's a glimpse at the earlier part of my day, prior to installation of towel racks.  We went to Lincoln Park Zoo.
Kiddos at the zoo, and those fingers better represent "peace".

I thought he was adorable! My Samsung Galaxy S III takes great pics for a cell phone!
We had a great weekend!  I must say that installation of towel racks weren't completely unnatural, I just had to get used to the new drill.

P.S.  Since this is a natural hair blog, my hair is in a bun.  I misted it with water, applied a little suave naturals conditioner throughout, and applied gel to the edges.  I used about 6 bobby pins to pin it back after securing my hair with an elastic.

To you ladies out there, "Do you consider home improvement projects as natural or unnatural?"  What's the last project that you tackled?
