My Curls Are Back In The Driver's Seat

My curls and I are finally back in the driver's seat.  Well sort of anyway.  My car has been in the shop for 3 days, since Saturday to be exact.  I'm driving a car until my SUV gets out of the shop.  It felt weird driving a car after not driving one for a while.  I can't see all of the oncoming traffic.  It's easier to see traffic when turning or stuck in traffic when driving an SUV because you can see vehicles ahead.  I kept reaching for the windshield wiper to wipe the snow off of the back windshield after defrosting, and had to remember that there's not such a wiper in car's at least not the one that I'm driving.  I drive a lot during the day for work and I realized that if we get a ton of snow I might need to pack a shovel so that I can shovel my way out of a spot if I get stuck.  I also had to stop and purchase a snowbrush/icescraper because mines is in my SUV at the dealer.  The good part about all of this is my 3 children didn't argue as much in the car about someone touching them or looking at them.  I appreciate the size of my SUV because I can separate them by rows and space on a row if need be, especially during long trips.  Today they got along for the most part.  For that I was grateful that I was driving something different.  I just hope that I get my vehicle back before the feel of newness wears off for them while sitting closely in the back seat (LOL).  I called the dealership and they said that after the diagnostic all of the lights went off and they're going to do some more testing tomorrow to make sure that I get my SUV back problem free.  I'm praying that they find out what's truly going wrong and that it doesn't cost a fortune to repair.  I'm trying to keep my curls intact throughout this ordeal.  Ok onto my curls.  I'm still wearing my hair in my trusted braidout.  I believe the last time that I rebraided my hair was last Thursday.  I've been pineappling daily.    My last co-wash was 2 Thursdays ago and it's almost time for another co-wash and re-style.  I decided to replait tonight because it's been cold, rainy, and windy here in Chicago.  My hair needs a little extra TLC after fighting with all of those elements.  I could tell that it needed some water and oil because my hair started to feel a little stiff and cold.  I've learned to listen to my inner intuition regarding all aspects of my life including my hair.  So I acted on it and pulled out some water and oil and started nurturing my natural hair.  I resprayed my hair with some water and conditioner and added some shea butter and oils before plaiting.  I added a tiny bit of castor oil down the length of each plait and then placed a little castor oil on the ends of my hair before adding a roller.  My hair should look refreshed and moisturized with a hint of added definition on tomorrow.  I'm back into a set of wheels, I'm saving some money on gas, my hair is getting the moisture it deserves and yep my curls are back in the drivers seat.

P.S.  ...and this car is actually really clean-yep I'm back in the driver's seat.
