Today "I Felt Like Pulling My Hair Out"

If there was ever a day that I felt like pulling my hair out, it was today.  It all started yesterday when tons of lights came on inside of my dashboard in my SUV.  The "ABS" light came on, the brake light came on, the check engine light came on, my speedometer wouldn't move when I drove it, the radio worked sometimes and sometimes it didn't, and then the heat stopped working.  I kept driving yesterday praying that I could get home from work, pick up my little ones and get this vehicle home.  This morning I attended a conference with my family and afterwards my hubby trailed me to the dealership.  I explained everything in detail to the tcchnician.  He said I have a feeling we're going to have your vehicle for a while, as it sounds like there's something going on with the electrical system.  All I could think about was this was my first brand new vehicle of choice that I purchased 6 1/2 years ago.  Now things want to break down after I completely paid it off last year (Ugh).  Besides that I need my vehicle for work, transporting my little ones and taking care of daily tasks.  That's why I felt like "pulling my hair out".  Those of you who know me definitely know that it's just an expression that means that I was frustrated because I would never pull my hair out (LOL).  Even though this is a major inconvenience I'm grateful to God that my vehicle didn't stop on the side of the expressway, that I didn't lose power steering while driving, and that my family is safe.  I'm grateful that I had gloves to keep my fingers warm while driving to the dealer after the heat stopped on today as it's freezing cold here in the "Chi".  I'm grateful that I kept my curls in tact in the midst of a difficult situation.  I'm grateful that after this ordeal took up a large part of my day, I was able to come home feed my family and assist and check my children's weekend homework assignments.  I'm feeling better, at least until I hear the quote on how much it will cost to repair my vehicle.  I'm praying for a miracle on the quote.  Either way, I'm grateful.  So this is what my curls looked like from the side after a day of downs and ups.
See I'm smiling yall!  I'm grateful and I'm not "pulling my hair out.  I'm just going to keep it moving!

  1. Wow, what a stressful day. Hope the work on your vehicle isn't too expensive. I guess things could have been a lot worse had you stalled on the side of the road some place. Thankfully all worked out in the end....And your hair still looked great :)

  2. @ Adebukunola, yes I had to laugh as usual to keep from feeling stressed and I definitely wouldn't really pull my hair out (LOL).

  3. @Tam. Yes it was a stressful day, but I remained grateful because like you said my vehicle didn't stall on the side of the road. Thanks for the compliment!
