Tangenise was previously featured however this time she shares some info. about her  natural journey.

1.  How long have you been all natural (without any chemicals remaining in your hair)?

My hair has been natural for close to 5 years. 

2.  Speak about who or what inspired you to go natural.

Going natural was an easy transition and seemed automatic as the next phase of my life. I had grown tired of the relaxer.  Having relaxed hair made me feel as though I was hiding my true beauty.  I decided my hair in its natural state had everything it needed. 

3.  What are your top 2 hairstyles since going natural?

Locs and Two strand twist!  Although Locs seemed to have won!!!!

4.  What's your weekly routine and 3 favorite products used on a weekly basis?

The best part of Locs are their low maintenance.  Therefore, I only have to keep them oiled and moisturized. My stylist makes her own line of all natural hair oil.  This hair oil is an absolute must. I also on occasion, to help deal with frizz, will use Organic Lemon Juice.  I also use a moisturizer, but only when necessary, this is usually biolage.

6.  Speak about your biggest supporters since going natural.

My family and friends have been great.  When I began the loc process I sometimes felt un-pretty. However, my stylist (she was my biggest fan), my sister-friends and my family encouraged me to continue through.  I am glad I took their advice, I am so incredibly happy with my hair.

7.  Did anyone discourage you along your natural journey?  If so how did you stay focused on your goal?

I did receive the occassional “Why are you doing that to your hair?” , this almost always came from men.  I would simply state it is something I have always wanted to do and that the choice was about me and me only.  However, those same men are now, in their words, “loving my Locs.”

8.  Name one hairstyle and/ or product that you would like to try?

I would at some point be interested in trying hair jewelry.

9.  If you could speak to people in a word or sentence to describe "Why going natural was a great decision what would you say?  Speak to me!!!!

I’ve been set free!!!!!!!Free from the world of having my hair, fried, dyed and laid to the side!!!!!

I know the feeling Tangenise!  I enjoy the freedom that you're talking about as well.  Tangenise's locs are just naturally gorgeous!
