A Wash & Go Ponytail After A Henna and Amla Treatment
Hey curlies! Things have been so hectic this week that I haven't been able to post as frequently as I wanted to. I wanted to share a wash & go ponytail that I created on last week. I actually did a henna and indigo treatment to the front few strands of my hair on last Wednesday night. This time I mixed 2 parts henna to 1 part amla. This was my best mix ever. This mixture left my hair extremely soft and moist feeling. ( For those of you who are new to my blog, I use henna and indigo to turn a few gray strands along the front of my hairline to a nice dark brown/black color naturally). I actually slept in the henna mixture overnight. When I woke up the next morning and rinsed the henna out. I then applied indigo to the front strands along the right side of my hairline and allowed it to marinate for 30 minutes. I then rinsed it and added some conditioner, oil and gel. It took me one second to form this hairstyle before heading to work. I used a microfiber towel to scrunch the drippies, so that my hair wouldn't be soaking wet. Next I parted my hair down the middle and used my denman brush to brush the sides down. I then secured my hair with an elastic. This was also a great way to stretch my hair for a braidout the next day. I love the flexibility of my natural hair. This is my new go to hairstyle after a henna treatment. It's true, a wash and go ponytail after a henna and amla treatment works for me!
What's your most common hairstyle after a henna treatment? What mixture gives you the best result?
