Pompadeaux with Wash and go- Unneccesary Redo
I was looking through some old pics and happened upon this one from March 2012. I started my day by creating a pompadeaux on an old wash and go. I parted a small section into a square in the front of my hair and carefully rolled it back and pinned it down. Next I took 2 rhinestone decorated tuck combs and pulled the middle section of my hair upward and tucked it neatly with the combs. I took my fingers and fluffed the back of my hair to create this look. I thought it was cute, but at the same time I kept thinking that the front looked funny. Then after 2 family members made negative comments ( That's short for my kids said: Mom your hair looks funny:) about it not looking quite right ,I took it down and formed a puff with the back of my hair.
Before I took it down and did a redo, I snapped one extra pic of the front, as seen below.
Now that I look back at the pics, it was really wasn't bad. In fact I thought it was kind of cute. Sometimes you have to go with your own taste and just rock something new and different. Oh well, maybe I'll try this style again soon. Every ones taste is different, and my natural senses tell me that this style really could have worked. Sometimes a redo isn't necessary.
Have any of you ever changed a hairstyle or outfit because of someone else's view of how it looked? or Have you changed your style because you were feeling like the style looked a little funny? Did you rock the style again in the future? or did you follow your natural gut and rock it the same day regardless of anyone else's view of your style? Do Tell.
