Congratulations Are In Order & Natural Update News

Today I'm so elated and proud of my husband, however before I go into detail let me just say that I got to meet Mellody Hobson president and CEO of Ariel Investment a Chicago Investment Firm (scream)!!!  OMG!  I've heard her speak in the past at a business event, however never had the opportunity to speak and personally grab a picture.  She's a strong business woman whom I admire.  Since this is a natural hair blog I must give the 411 on my hair in this pic.  My natural hair was deep conditioned, blow dried on warm air, and flat ironed.  OK, this is the 2nd time this year, so that means it may be the last flat iron of the year to keep my curls healthy.  I'll keep you posted though.

Mayor Rahm Emanuel, Dr. Dennis Deer, Loyd Blankfein, Warren Buffet

OK back to the topic of the day.  Uh-uh, let me start over..  Today I'm elated and proud of my husband as he was the speaker for the first cohort and graduating class of Goldman Sachs 10,000 small businesses program here in Chicago.  He was chosen as the class speaker, and if you would have been there you would know that he "brought the house down"!  You can check parts of his speech out for yourself as he was featured on MSNBC for a one on one interview this morning at 6:30 am.  He was also featured on WGN and also seen on CBS over the course of the day.  We've been up since 4:00 this morning and I'm still excited about my husband's speech and the fact that he sat next to and introduced Warren Buffet, as well as met with Mayor Rahm Emanuel.  Yes I did say "Warren Buffet" and his words of wisdom were awesome!

I just wanted to share and say "hi".  Sorry for not updating as much lately.  Things have been busy with my private speech therapy practice, as well as with the kiddos.  School is almost out and we can rest a little bit in the evenings, which will mean meals and no homework.  Yay!  Which translates to, I may be able to get more posts written late in the evening.

Stay naturally versatile to learn, grow, and to expand your horizons!
