I haven't tried any new products or done anything different with my hair outside of my typical wash and go's and or buns over the past few weeks. I actually did a wash and go this morning. I have been thinking about changing my hair slightly. The front of my hair is getting wavier and less defined as it grows, and lately I've been thinking about cutting and shaping it so that my wash and go's can dry uniformly. My other potential change would be to add a lighter color. 10 years ago I faithfully wore my hair with reddish-brown highlights and I loved it. It was just so harsh along side my chemically permed hair that it caused extreme breakage over time. I no longer have a relaxer so my hair could actually handle color, however I would definitely want a color that was as natural as possible. I currently use henna and indigo on the front section of my hair, to cover a small gray section that I have to upkeep on a monthly basis. For some reason my dark hair is starting to look boring to me, however I don't want to permanently change the color and then regret the change. Hmm, I've had this bottle of semi-permanent "Mocha" hair color for a few years. I might just give it a try soon. At least I could rinse it out after a few washes. I never tried this brand of semi-permanent color, neither have I researched the ingredients. I may do a little research this weekend and then decide on a temporary color for the Fall, that may lead to a permanent color, IDK. I'll keep yall posted. Check out this video of Janeezy01, a youtuber that I've been watching since I first went natural. Watch the video all the way through and check out how beautiful her reddish-brown color highlights her hair when worn curly. OMG!
Have you tried a semi-permanent or permanent haircolor on your natural hair? If so, what brand did you use and did your curl pattern remain the same or did it smooth it out? I don't want to lose my curls. Help a sister out. Suggest, Suggest!
