Simple Updo's On Natural Hair Is All That's Needed For A Touch Of Elegance

It's been 6 1/2 years since I've been fully natural, and over the years I enjoy the simplicity of a quick natural style. Before heading out, I applied a small amount of "Shea Moisture Curl Enhancing Smoothie" to my edges and ends, with a small amount of water added to my hands before applying this product.  Next I applied "Carol's Daughter's Mimosa Hair Honey Pomade" to my edges.  This product helps my hair to wave up even more, and it adds incredible shine with a little hold.  Last but not least, I applied "Shea Moisture Curl Gel Souffle" for hold and that top of the hill shine.  I tied my hair down with a satin scarf for 10 minutes while applying my make-up.  Since my hair has grown back out since my 2nd big chop (Deva Cut in December 2013) and then another cut to shape my hair in January 2015, I have to use hair pins to achieve this style.  I basically use hair pins to pin my bun under and into place.  When it was shorter I could just secure with an elastic and go.  Now, I secure with an elastic, apply products, pin down my ends, and then go.  Simple up do's are my best friend when I need to add a touch of elegance.  Motto in 2015: It doesn't need to be difficult.

Do you have a simple style that you can wear when heading out, or a favorite simple style that you can wear with a dress?
