I promised that I would talk about some of the great food that I ate in Lake Ozark, MO a few weeks ago. Myself and my family ate at many different restaurants, however in my opinion El Jimador was the best. They had the most amazing Mexican food. I ordered a sampler plate, which was less than $11.00. This dish was called "A Little of Everything", which consisted of a chalupa, chile relleno, beef taco, beef enchilada and a tamale served with Mexican rice and refried beans. I thought that the meal would consist of small sample sized bites of everthying. When they brought out 2 plates, I thought they had made a mistake. That smile on my face says it all! It was truly amazing food! La comida fue muy bueno! I've never had a chile relleno, but I can tell you that poblano chile pepper stuffed with cheese was everything!
We got there right before the dinner rush, so we were seated right away. The chips and salsa were fresh. The food was hot! Needless to say, I took some of the food back to our condo, as it was to much to eat in one sitting. The waiter was very pleasant. In fact I talked to him only in Spanish, as I try to make myself practice my Spanish speaking skills when the opportunity arises. I've taken several classes in the past, and want to continue to improve my language skills. My entire family enjoyed the food. During every vacation, we all try to pick something that we want to do, and eating at a Mexican restaurant while practicing my Spanish skills is always one of my vacation choices. I'm glad that I swam everyday, because that was one way to help balance all of the calories that I enjoyed on this trip. In fact, I had just gotten out of the pool, did a quick wash and go, and headed to dinner.
What's your favorite Mexican restaurant? Hey drop a phrase or sentence that you can use in a restaurant below. I'm always in need of new vocabulary.
