I love simplicity when it comes to washing and styling my hair. This past weekend, I just wanted to create a wash and sleep style. I was tired last Sunday night. "Why?"; because I washed and styled my daughter's hair Saturday evening. On Sunday evening I just wanted to rest before I had to prepare for work on Monday morning. What did I do? I washed and conditioned my hair, applied a leave in conditioner, some gel, and a small amount of castor oil. I parted a side part, brushed it with my denman brush and flat twisted each side. I then tucked the ends in the back in a loop and secured the ends with bobby pins.
I placed a towel over my pillow case and then placed my satin lined cap (SLAP) on my head. When I woke up the next morning my hair was completely dry. I wore my hair in flat twists for the next 2 days. I refer to my two twists as a sleep and go.
On day 3 I took it down and enjoyed this twist out.

Twist out from two large twists |
Lessons Learned:
-Wash and sleep styles are convenient when I need to wash and style my hair quickly.
-There's nothing quite as convenient as getting 2 styles for 1.
-Overnight drying without having to diffuse or sit under a hooded dryer is amazing!
-Since our Spring weather is still fluctuating in the Chi, I turned my wall hung fireplace on low to keep me warm while my hair dried overnight.
-Twists are a great protective style.
