My Recent Deva Cut Experience Was A Win!

Snapped this pic of my deva cut as soon as I got in the car! It turned out good! My hair looks like it's getting wavier in comparison to being more tightly curled at the roots when compared to my coils in the past.

About a month ago, I scheduled a deva cut.  I knew that it was time, because my detangling sessions became a little more laborious.  My fingers snagged instead of gliding seamlessly down the length of my hair when combing conditioner through.  In other words, the ends of my hair definitely felt a little frayed.  My regular stylist Laneeta was out, and the only person with an open appointment on the day that I had a moment of free time was Kelley.  I was skeptical initially, however the receptionist reassured me that everyone is skilled in their ability to cut and style curly hair.  (If I could drop that symbol for eyeballs right here I would. LOL!).  I prayed and took a leap of faith.  Kelley from Curls and Company was great!  She said that my hair looked good for me to have gone an entire year without a touch up cut.  I also shared that I wanted to maintain length, trim the ends, and maintain the shape of my hair. She actually listened and just trimmed the ends and maintained the shape of my hair!  Thank God this cut went well.  I've had past experiences where the stylist does something completely different.  Communication and follow-through is everything!

I wear my hair curly 99% of the time, and as long as I continue to do so, I will continue to maintain my deva cut. That's why I love deva cut's because the cut is done on dry hair.  Curls are cut on a curl by curl basis and the hair is layered so that the hair doesn't look triangular in nature.  Shout out to Kelley George on a hair cut well done! I love my deva cut! My recent deva cut experience was a win!
