My Annual Family Vacation This Year Was A Week At Disney World

The hubs and I at Dino Land in Animal Kingdom.

This is me and my husband's third time taking our children to Disney World since they were born.  Every year we do an annual family trip, and this year our teens and pre-teen voted that we spend our week at Disney World in Orlando, Florida.  We spent the week doing activities such as playing checkers, chess, and board games when in our room.  When out we had the opportunity to ride a carriage bike around the resort, swim, play basketball, fools ball, and table tennis.  Fun just described it all!

We visited Disney on 3 out of our 7 days.  Our first trip out was one of the water parks, Typhoon Lagoon.  This water park is everything! There's nothing in the world like the wave pool there!  It's North America's largest wave pool, with 6 foot waves.  When the waves come, we laughed, dived right in front of the wave, rode the wave, and then swam in the direction that the wave was traveling.  Swimming lessons for the family definitely paid off! We spent another day at Magic Kingdom!  My children talked me into getting on roller coaster's and I must say that every moment of twirls, dips, and screams were memorable! Splash Mountain was awesome!

The last park that we visited was Animal Kingdom!  I promise this was the most fun that I've had, with my family, all in one day, with thrills good food, and cardio all rolled in one in a long time.  The Avatar Flight of Passage made my day! I promise it won't disappoint.  I literally felt like I was in the movie and realistically riding on a Banshee during this simulated ride which allows you to experience smells and touch as you ride through the land of Pandora!  OMG!  The safari ride in Africa was also purely awesome! We literally rode right past real crocodiles, giraffes, elephants, rhinos and numerous other animals that were walking toward our safari! I also got to dance because when you walk through "Africa" inside of Animal Kingdom, you can dance with the african dancers by following their moves.  I promise I got "17,143" steps in today with all the walking, exploring, and dancing!

Entering Typhoon Lagoon!

The fireworks show at night at Magic Kingdom was awesome!
The food was also good! My husband got his usual turkey leg, and I stuck to my vegan options "veggie tikka masala with rice". The kiddos leaned towards hot dogs, ribs, and burgers.

P.S. I took a water bottle and gel with me to the park.  That way I could spray my curls if they got dry and also smooth my edges if I took off my cap on day 2.  We also used that spray bottle to cool off during an index of 103 temps that day!

Yep, my week was awesome!

There's nothing like setting aside memorable moments with family! There's nothing like finding time to Live, Laugh, and Love!
