How I Stopped My Daughter's Allergic Response To Shea Butter And Coconut Oil

Since going natural I had to find some products for people with allergies, you know products that are void of shea butter and coconut oil.  Finding items that worked for sensitive skin became important for me after I noticed that my daughter started breaking out every time I applied a product that contained either item.  She was diagnosed with allergies and eczema.  I quickly began to change the products that I used on her hair, even though my product arsenal for my hair remained the same.

It was a challenge finding ones that were suitable for my daughter, because over the past 5 years it seems like every product for natural hair contains shea butter or coconut oil.  I began to look at all the products in my cabinets and found several combinations of leave in conditioners and gels that didn't contain the ingredients that started to cause itchy dry patches on my daughter's scalp.  The following products were found and I continue to use these products for my daughter's wash and go's and styles in general:

-  Eco Styler Gel with Argon Oil and Giovanni Direct Leave-In Weightless Moisture Conditioner

-  Eco Styler Gel with Olive Oil and Paul Mitchell The Conditioner or the Generic Option

-  Kinky Curly Curling Custard and Knot Today

-  Castor Oil or Olive Oil to seal after applying products

Each of the above mentioned products produced a boss wash and go, without breakouts and itchy patches.  I'm grateful that I found some products that leave my daughter itchy and break out free!

If you've found that certain products cause irritation to you or your loved ones scalp/ skin, please share what products you've found that are void of those ingredients.
