Lately I've been using elastics to create various looks. I decided to do a comparison of the different looks that I can come up with on my natural hair by pulling my hair to the back. Once my braidouts start to look less defined I add a little water/ conditioner and oil mixture to my hair, smooth some olive oil and shea butter around the edges,
and then add an elastic or elastic headband to create this look. Hence, my pony puff after a braidout. |

The next look that I can create with an elastic is my notorious pony puff. This is a staple style for me in the summer. I just conditioner wash my hair in the shower, leave in some conditioner, add some coconut oil or olive oil, some gel, and some shea butter to the edges and wallah! I have my easy quickly styled afro puff.

The third look that I where is the flat ironed ponytail. I typically flat iron at least once a year. I just comb my hair to the back and then place an elastic around the back. My elastics are always on hand to create a quick pulled back do for a casual day, a workout, or for a special occasion. I'm grateful for elastics, especially the ones that are made for thick hair!
